Now That the Light is Fading

Maggie Rogers wrote “Alaska” for a homework assignment for a class at NYU. Unbeknownst to the students, Pharrell came to that class to give notes on the students’ songs. Upon hearing Rogers’ song, Pharrell was speechless, wide eyed, and told her he’d never heard anything like that before and had no notes! The video went viral, and a record deal followed. If that’s not enough to make you listen, I’m not sure what would entice you.
