Run For The Hills
I could not love Kevin Wilson's writing more, and every time I hear he has a new book, I can't wait to dive into it. His latest novel, Run For The Hills, is a funny and touching road trip across America that brings unknown siblings together on a quest.
Madeline (Mad) Hill was minding the stand for their family farm like any other weekend until a PT Cruiser pulls up, and the man who gets out is, in fact, her half-sibling, Reuben (Rube) Hill. After explaining their siblinghood—and that there are at least two others from subsequent families their father started—Rube asks if Mad will accompany him to find them and ultimately locate their father to clarify what the hell he was thinking.
The characters are thoroughly imagined, full of peculiarities and humor, bringing us all to a place of hope for what lies ahead.
