This Is A Love Story

A terminal illness, a life dedicated to art, postpartum depression, and a long marriage not without its bumps.

This is a love story, but don't expect sunshine and rainbows. The storytelling is unique, as the couple, Abe and Jane, recount their relationship while cancer slowly takes her away. I'm not going to lie—this is a sad-ass book, but one that I did enjoy.

Central Park is a character in the novel, and the book is also a homage to New York City and to riding out the tough times in a relationship. Once involved in the story, you do feel a kinship with the main characters, and they have stayed with me. Very interesting! It was a Jenna’s Book Club pick, so there’s that.
