Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be
I'll be honest, I hate parenting books; I will only succumb about once every three to five years, and yet, regardless of my resistance, I must admit there is a lot to be gained by reading 'Good Inside.' Many of you may know Dr. Becky by her wildly popular social media account, and she is kind of (or probably very!) famous, and for good reason. This book is essential for many reasons and probably for different reasons to different people BUT, I thought it was incredible. She talks about how UNimportant it is that our children be HAPPY but that the most IMPORTANT gift we can give them as a parent is teaching them the tools to be RESILIENT. I have teens and tweens and let me tell you, I am learning and re-learning a lot, as we all are. It's never too late (your kids don't have to be babies), and I think any parent (or grandparent) can benefit from this book. I don't think you'll regret one minute of your time.
