Coming to My Senses
Alice Waters, the famous American chef and owner of the restaurant Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, has always been a trailblazer and slow food activist. This fabulously engaging book details her life—from her experience of being a young woman in Berkeley in the 1960s, to holding fast to her vision of supporting local farms when she created a restaurant that made customers feel like they were dining in someone’s home. A self-professed Francophile, Alice’s time in France in college had a lifelong impression on her, which included but was certainly not limited to the way she dressed herself, her table, and her salads. She is a true visionary and lover of all things beautiful. I loved this book and hope it will inspire you to always follow your intuition.
