Faithful
Shelby Richmond is an all-American girl growing up on Long Island with a bright future ahead of her. That is, until she accidentally kills her best friend. As expected, her life falls apart. She exiles herself for years in her parents’ basement, foregoing college and any semblance of normal existence. Her only relationships during this period are with her pot-dealing ex-classmate, and with a type of angel who anonymously sends her postcards of encouragement. This book starts slow, but you will be pleased with what becomes of Shelby, as “Faithful” is tied up very neatly at the end. This novel is a real pleasure!
