Homegoing

As I read “Homegoing” I could feel the weight of a brilliant new literary talent being revealed. How Yaa Gyasi weaves such a powerful, textured plot, diving into the depths of history only to deliver us, full circle, to the present, is a feat to be applauded. Spanning centuries and continents, this debut novel is a tour de force of the written word. I’m amazed that she pulled this work of brilliance out of her hat at the tender age of 26. Be assured I’ll be touting this book on the streets and requiring everyone I know to read it.
