Margo's Got Money Troubles
The NYT Book Editor discussed this book in his year-in-review, and I was curious to see if it was as good as he said it was...BLOWN AWAY!
This book is funny, sharp, outlandish, and heartfelt. You fall so in love with Margo's naivety, earnestness, competence, innate sense of injustice, and willingness to stand up when necessary that you will jump out of your chair, whooping for her multiple times throughout this book. I can think of no better book to kick off the 2025 reading season than Margo's Got Money Troubles. Elle Fanning narrates it if you're into audiobooks, and I saw that she and Nicole Kidman are starring in the screen adaptation, which begins shooting this month.
