Olive, Again
You'd be hard-pressed to find a fictional character more interesting than Olive Kitteredge. I have no doubt that this character's popularity comes from the fact that she embodies the complexities of life—the horrible, the beautiful, and of course, the complicated. Ten years after Elizabeth Strout created this wonderful character, Olive is back and fumbling through life, trying to make sense of people like the rest of us—only in a more humorous fashion.
