Operating Instructions

Operating Instructions is one of the funniest books I've ever read -- and I've read quite a few books! This is the most honest, open account of what having a newborn is like, with a self-depricating humor that had me literally in tears from laughter. Lamott also touches on single parenthood, cancer and religion. If you've ever had a child, or hope to one day, do not miss this book.
