In this alternate biography, Sittenfeld imagines what Hillary Clinton's life might have been like had she decided not to marry Bill Clinton, or to have lived so much of her life in his shadow. The fair amount of racy sex scenes were a bit surprising - at the beginning of this book as Bill and Hillary's budding relationship is recounted. Otherwise, I was utterly engrossed in the alternate life Hillary could have lived had she left Bill soon after law school.
