What Goes with What : 100 Recipes, 20 Charts, Endless Possibilities
Similar to one of my favorite cookbooks, Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, Julia Turshen, dubbed a home cook’s best friend, has created something similar in that she breaks down how to pair, layer, and combine ingredients that will have you stepping a little away from recipes and more into the realm of magic and play in the kitchen.
Her charts are so simple and explanatory that you will want to tape them up in your kitchen for quick, no-fuss, gorgeous food. There are, of course, recipes on almost every page, too. I love a book that can pull the camera back and get your brain fired into thinking in a completely different way.
Would it be wild to say this book might change your life as a cook? I don’t think so. Let me know what you think.
