Tell Me Everything
Having just finished the last page of Elizabeth Strout's new book, Tell Me Everything, I am reminded again how precious and vital the writing of this Pulitzer Prize-winning author is, and I want to tell you why. She possesses the ability to uncover what it is to be human, in all its beauty and loneliness. And my GOD, how lovable is the character Olive Kitteridge, with her heartbreaking and hilarious honesty, her notorious "ay-yuh"s, and the goodness of Bob Burgess and the examination of sibling relationships in this book? It all just knocked me out. Tell Me Everything is one of the most gorgeous books. It is a "hopeful, healing novel about new friendships, old loves, and the very human desire to leave a mark on the world." You'd be an absolute fool to miss it.
